Asynchronous Collaborative Online Storytelling
Our classes have produced some great collaborative Fairy Tales and we highly recommend you find a partner class or even 2 partners and try an ACS out for yourself.
Sharing is the objective. This Flash slide show displays how by sharing stories, we had the opportunity to share images.
Summarizing
With Collaboration arises the opportunity to share the exercise below on Summarizing.
It's acronym is: “Somebody wanted but so”
SOMEBODY ( the main character )
WANTED ( their motivation or purpose in the book or story )
BUT ( the conflict - what stood in their way? )
SO ( the solution - what did the character do to solve the problem )
| Summarizing Points | Title |
Title |
| Somebody | ||
| Wanted | ||
| But | ||
| So |
After filling in the spread sheet, have the students write 2 very short summarizing
paragraphs based on the 4 points for each fairy tale or story.
