Once upon a time in the village of Dover Mills, the most magnificent
ship was built . It was the largest ship ever built on the Great Lake. It was
named Doverwood and it's adventure started in Detroit, where the crew loaded
the passengers onboard. The ship had an ice rink, waterpark, 2 gyms, theatre
and a video game room.
It was late winter and the lake was freezing over with ice, but this shouldn’t
have been a problem for this huge ship. They didn’t count on the shallow
waters off Long Point and how thick the ice there would be. Slowing for the
shallow waters caused the ship to become stuck in the ice. They sat there for
2 days. The passengers were fine with all the food and entertainment on board,
but the captain was worried as the ice was crushing in on the hull.
After another 2 days of freezing temperatures and another 2 feet of ice forming
on the lake, the captain put out a call for assistance.
The rescue
tug Missle was sent from Dover Mills and should have arrived in time to free
the ship before the ice crushed the hull.
Before the rescue tug, Missle arrived and the passengers were out on
the deck watching for it through the blinding snow storm that had come up out
of nowhere. Out of the snow came a shrill cry that sent chivers threw everybody.
